Service Area
Every vehicle in Louisiana Wheelchair Rides fleet is a ramp-equipped van maintained to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. Each vehicle is outfitted with a wheelchair ramp and proper securement systems to ensure a smooth, stable, and comfortable ride. Our drivers are NEMT certified, CPR certified, HIPPA trained and background checked so that every passenger rides with complete confidence.

You can book a ride two ways — call us directly at 504-438-9234 or submit a ride request through our online booking form. Once we receive your request we will confirm your booking within 24 hours.

We ask that all ride requests be made at least 24 hours in advance to ensure we are fully prepared to meet your needs. We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for recurring medical appointments.

Absolutely. We understand that many of our riders have caregivers, family members, or facility staff who coordinate their transportation. Anyone can book a ride on behalf of a rider by calling us at 504-438-9234 or submitting the online form.

Your driver will arrive at your scheduled pickup time. Meet your driver outside and they will assist you with boarding and ensure your wheelchair is properly secured before departure.

Yes. Every vehicle in our fleet is a ramp-equipped van outfitted with a wheelchair ramp and proper securement systems to ensure a smooth, stable, and comfortable ride from pickup to drop-off.

We accommodate standard manual wheelchairs, scooters, bariatric chairs, and ambulatory riders. If you have a specific mobility device or special accommodation need, please let us know when booking so we can ensure we are fully prepared for your ride.
If you require a wheelchair for your ride but do not currently have one, we can provide a one-time use wheelchair for an additional fee.

Yes. Every Louisiana Wheelchair Rides driver is NEMT certified, CPR certified, HIPPA trained, and has passed a thorough state and federal background check. Our drivers are selected for their professionalism, patience, and genuine commitment to the wellbeing of every passenger.
